My Name Is Nobody

Sometimes, you are just in the mood for something silly. And sometimes, it is good to be able to watch a movie with the whole family. Although Once upon a time in the West by the same Sergio Leone is still my favourite Western (up there with High plains drifter or The man who shot Liberty Valance, all for very different reasons) this one just makes me laugh. Every time. And sometimes, this is all that you need.

  1. Oh, for Pete’s sake. The conspiracy theorists need to up their game. A 2500-hour bulb burns dimmer, less efficiently, so costs more in power, and requires more generator plant infrastructure for a given number of sockets or lumens delivered. A brighter, more efficient bulb will cost less per lumen-hour of light, have lower total cost of ownership, and more people can be served with a given amount of power available. A win-win over all, even if you have to replace the bulb more often. The “secret conspiracy” that the tinfoil hatters delight in rediscovering every few years was nothing more than industry standardization and quality control improvement.
